Word Count: 261 This chapter was very interesting to me in the sense of Sara’s relationship with food. It was discussed in the majority of the chapter which I think emphasizes the importance of it in her life. I think that at some points there was a misunderstanding of what some of the food she was consuming actually was. Was told to her by her mother that kapura was a sweetbread when it was actually testicles. I think that this was a distraction for her when she was little so that she wasn’t turned off by the idea of what it actually was. This is why I think the kind of food they eat is very important to their cultures as her mom is lying to her about what it really was.
